I'm following this years "sun trip". It's a long distance, unsupported, race for solar powered bicycles.

This years trip is 7500 km from Lyon France to central Morocco and back.
The participants are between 25 and 61 years old this year and the can ride single or tandem.
The race started 2 weeks ago and the leader, a 59 year old french man, riding a Declic-eco
velomobile, have done over 400km a day.
In second place, today, is a 28 year old englishman on a Azub recliner. He did 375km on Thursday and over 380km the day after.
They are unsupported, have to find food, water and places to overnight as they ride, they both carry camping gear with them.
Only daylight riding is allowed and you are only allowed to charge the batteries from the solar panel.
