YardMule goes to camp

My home built eclectic tractor "Yard Mule" is back working our homestead for the 5th year. I cleaned it up, put the batteries in and took it camping in the "back 40" down an old logging road. Once there was a bridge across this small creek, but a massive flood blew it out. Still a nice place to set up camp for the night and have a tailgate BBQ later.

It has been working our homestead for 5 years with a champ with zero maintenance!
Here is a video I made 4 years ago, using the mule to drag my wood splitter down the road to collect firewood...

It has come a long way since my initial prototype - made from stuff I found at my country dump...

YardMule has been my most used DIY vehicle so far!

Nice Brad. If I had a few acres of land I'd certainly want a Yardmule or similar here but sadly I have nowhere near that much space .

I really envy your location and freedom. Seems like we have so little really 'free' space to roam and camp over here. Any little bit of 'wild' space seems to be either privately owned or has a parking ticket kiosk. Don't think there's anywhere within many miles of me where I could just trundle along and pitch a tent for a BBQ without upsetting someone. Things are getting worse too with a million plus new arrivals each year wanting homes and road space and schools and GP's etc etc etc. all of which need precious land.

Mustn't grumble and still think this is a great country but I think if I were younger I'd be seriously looking at asking my Canadian relatives to look for a place for me out there.
