    Miracles!?

Interesting UK read. The future may be a little brighter. https://www.sustrans.org.uk/for-professionals/urban-design-and-planning/re-allocating-road-space-to-make-walking-and-cycling-safer-during-COVID-19-and-beyond

At last some UK council(s) or whoever are thinking, A to B, is not just for cars! Martin.

    Metric tubing in the UK?

While searching for specialist items, came across this for you, 25mm x 1.2mm and lots of other metric sizes. Might be close enough. http://trisled.com.au/product-category/chromoly/ Martin. Just checked properly and discover it's not metric. Bad description.... Chromoly round tube 25 x 1.2mm...

    Metric tubing in the UK?

Hi Tillerman6, Chromemolly specifically 4130 in USA (expect imperial sizes) is eqivalent to UK spec. 708A25, 708M25, CFS10. Italian spec. 25CrMo4 (hopefully metric). Switching search from 4130 to (708M25) gets you to 25CrMo4 stuff, here is a link example...

    From Eco-Vehicles

Found this, might be useful. Six years old vid. linear pedal cycle. Not only Exacta-Tech But also, Doesn't have to have an exact linear travel, can arc on a pivot too. Essentially at the heart is 2, single sprocket freewheels...

    Nothing to lose really.

Danny, is the bore a through hole or is it shouldered in the middle? (Guess you have a middle spacer in there) There are many ways to machine them. With an end shoulder for one bearing, middle shoulder for 2 bearings. You may need an undercut for a circlip to prevent the pulley walking off the...

Dalerider of this parish giving it his all @ Hillingdon today

Well a revisit is getting close. I hope to do better than 14.07mph now. It's a medium tough track as it has climbs. Enough to take you from top to bottom gearing. If you have the legs then you shoot up the hills. If not like my damaged muscles it's hard work. The machine is doing the best it...

    That was nice!

BMS = battery management system. Charging and cell balance management. The BMS ensures that all of the individual cells in your battery are operating and balancing cohesively, it also ensures that your cells are protected from issues such as under and over-discharge, temperature instability...

    That was nice!

Based on 80rpm from Banf: 53T to 36T sprockets: M.A. N380=3.8 to 1: 20" wheel drive. I calculate a speed of 26.6mph potential. How old are the batteries? Whats the voltage (36V)? (Will be 37~39 charged, ok) And the discharge rate (C). I'm guessing 10S. You could have a battery pack for a...

    That was nice!

So 78-83rpm load speed Danny. Max speed about 26mph. Looks useful if set up right. My 'electric' is a 250 watt unit running at half power setting easily doing 22mph, (with favourable conditions), so I don't need to push it hard at all to get a good lick of speed.

I'll change the privacy. The video was posted elsewhere but had PC issues which I cleaned up. Thought it worth salvaging before it got pulled off, if only for amusement or eye candy. I was also going to add my own footage of stuff to it but prefer doing that separate now. Anyway, a more...
