I started using a wax chain lube on my fat bike for it's winter rides a couple years ago. It seemed to work well and had 2 big plus'es. It did not attract dust and dirt and no oily residue on my pant leg. So I started using it on my delta trikes as well. Is it any better than the usual oily messy stuff for chain longevity? not sure and don't care. The only mess is a bit of a white waxy mark on the tire sidewall and on the garage floor from some drips.
I'm using Boeshield T9 Chain wax/oil. Works as advertised. No filthy chain, no splatters anywere, no abrasive mixture of sand and oil/greas to eat away the sprockets.
