I just placed the last order for my next buil, a camper.
Yesterday the wood and Glue and today the coraplast.
Next week i order some epoxy and pick up a wooden plate.
Only need 4 Aluminium round 22. But i don't know the length yet, zo i wait with that. It depends on how high i place my frame on my wheels.
Solar panels are shipped next week and other parts for that will arive i hope next week.
I need some small stuff, but that will come later and other things can i order in the shop in my street.

I will use the base design of Paul Elkins and make an other version of the bottom plate.
This will be in a cimilar style as a German man called Matthias did.
He made it stronger and more durable. I will only not make the wheel covers from wood.

I have 2 old 20 inch wheels that i wil let be fixed and after that i clean them and paint them.
Need some tires for them, but that will also come later.

My build will be a few cm narrower, but not much.
Bottomwill get a stronger construction and an other mount to the bike.
3 layers ad the floor and bigger wheel covers.
A bit higher from the ground. This so i can move it up the stears and still move the wheels a bit more to the front.
2 solar panels on the roof. Each side one, so one always works. Make it so i can take them off and place them both in the sun.
My 17,5ah will be charged by the solar panels and will be used to power the camper. I can also charge my other batteries with the solar panels.
The 17,5ah will also be my backupp battery for my trike. But i think with 2 29.1ah batteries, that i have enough.
2 fans that i can controll in speed instead of 1. This way i can put them both lower or if needed have more ventilation.
Front and back inside several 12v and 5v connections so i can chargemy stuff and power my lights inside.

Build isn't as cheap as i first planned, but this is better and more drabble.
White coraplast with isolation foil on the inside. I think i paint it in the same style as my trike, but i am not surten yet.

These small bike campers grow in popularity and especially in Germany, there are a lot of people building them.
I want to traffel in the eu and this gives me the posibility to make longer trips. With a tent, you aren't allowed to camp in the wild in most places in the eu, but with this you may sleep along the roads in most eu countries. THat makes that i don't have to look for a camp site every day and keep the costs down.
Also no more setting up a tent and breaking it down in the rain.
With the solar panels i can traffel longer without the need of power to charge my batteries.

After a test, i will probably go forst to germany to ride with some other builders and meat Matthias who helped me a lot by sharing his build photo's and ginving me tips and what i need.

That is why I do it. I can now still do it and as I wait, that will be one of the many things I wanted to do, but never did.

As an advanced middle age chap I can confirm the best way to enjoy your youth is while you are young. I'm trying to enjoy my middle age before I slip into old age.

I found white gorilla Tape. Didn't know tgat it existed, but I ordered it.
Now I only need to order the epoxy. I get 55% discount on my first order for that. So I can get it a lot cheaper than I expected.

Can't wait till I have my wood and coraplast.

First thing arrived, the mppt booster.
I hope that the wood arrives tomorrow with the epoxy and the coraplast.

I ordered almost everything. I left out the USB and other power connectors for inside.
Also the lights for the rear and inside, will come later. I will first get some wooden plates and some long screws.

Next to me, the removed a part of the roof and they have a nice thing that I want on my roof for ventilation of my camper. Going to ask If I can gave one.

I was reading some laws about the size of a trailer you may have and where to ride on the road.
I knew that as the cycling lanes are to small or blocked, that i am allowd on the road with the cars. That is the same as you have the problem with your trike or something.
But i didn't know the dimensions.
you may have a max width of 1m but that is all the info on that.
Other then that, the lights on a trailer are very strange. You need to have refklectors and lights on it, but the lights don't need to be connected.

In Belgium, the trailer cannot be wider than the trike. For bicyles that is limited to 1 meter. Unless special permission is given, then a trailer of 1.2m wide is allowed.

Trikes or quads on the other hand, are "limited" to 2.5m. Or 30 cm overhang on each side of the vehicle/trailer, whatever is smallest.
But this 2.5m max width has to be "planned construction".

Length of trailer is 2.5m.

I know 2 people in the UK who have been escorted off a road by police and onto a cycle lane.

I have managed in Holland with trailer's however they were considerable shorter than yours.
Although a kett Weisel and a BoB trailer approaches the length of a short car.

I did not know that Maddox. That part wasn't in what I found, so I think that they see bikes and trikes here as one and the same.

Here on the road is only allowed, but they want you on the cycle lanes as much as possible.
In the past, it was different, you had to ride on the road as you had a trailer.

I hope it was clean Paul. 😂😂

I received my coraplast. I was checking it and as first I was thinking that they made a mistake.
After opening one and half opening the other one, I found out that I got everything double. I don't know why, but I don't think that they dit it right, because I can't find anywhere, that as you order 2, you get 4 on their website. I think that living under the smoke of Amsterdam, isn't good for you. 😂😂😂

The gleu comes this Friday. The wood is still Not here. If not shipped tomorrow, than I need to call them. I wanted to start with the bottom frame, but I think that I start with the dome first, now I got the coraplast.

Vaccination also going to rearrange the appointment. I will try to get it in my own city.
Costs me to much time, to ride to Eindhoven and I want to work on my bike and finish as much as possible, so I will move it to an other date and in my own city.

To lay your mind at rest [ as to the sort of people you may meet next year :D ] they were laundered the night before however there was a heavy dew and so were not dry.

We were parked on the main street of a small village and had stopped for a second breakfast in the cafe we were parked outside.

I, on the other hand, BBQ at least 4 times a week.
If God didn't want us to eat animals, he wouldn't have made them so tasty. :)
