Not a problem, just a question...

My cozy little nook in the corner!
Is there any way to display the most recent post FIRST, instead of last (at the bottom) of a thread?
(If that makes sense)

Hmmm... I was wrong!
There seems to be no logical order at all!

First Post... 2:24
Second Post... 3:41
My Reply ... 3 Minutes ago.

I am baffled, and yes, I can't imagine not having "newest first".
Anything else is just annoying.
Will have to reach out for support on this one, noting I can see in options.

Thanks for bringing this up.

Zoinks scoob!
We may be beat here...

Such a great forum software so far, but such a show stopping "feature".
I will do my best to find some workaround on this.

I am afraid you got the wrong end of the stick Frank :)
What we are talking about here, is the order of the postings inside the individual thread, not the order in which threads appear.
As everybody says, not a "biggie" just a missing option...

....OK folks - seems I do it different to most others. I always click on the last post and reverse through from there, same over on BROL.

Sometimes technology seems over complicated to me, and time consuming, and I was in the IT game for around 18 years

Mrs Crank just got herself a new Galaxy note 9 - she'll spend the next couple of years figuring out what it can do, then time to get a new model!

Talking of which, thinking of getting a gimbal for my smartphone, might be able to take some non-shaky vids of stuff (y)

News Flash !!!!

A "JUMP TO NEW' sighting has been discovered. It's being elusive, and appears intermittently.
Not sure what causes, or makes it appear....or disappear!

Watch for its appearance generally in the upper right side of the threads.....sorta, sometimes, maybe !!!

Sorry, while its not a big problem it renders the board mostly unwieldy/unusable as far as I am concerned.
As a thread grows in length (e.g. Ed'sInferno) would I really want to scroll through hundreds of pages to get to the newer content? I think not. :p
A simple sort-order that the antiquated board coped with very well is just "missing" from shiny new software? How odd.
"Order by" "Asc"/"Desc" anyone? :ROFLMAO:

I agree totally!
I have asked for the option on the support forum...

I know there are hacks and plugins out there to do this, but I really want it to be a native format.
Everything else about the new forum is so good, it does baffle the mind!

Re: Postimage.org issue
So to complain about a "free" service is a bit rich (IMHO).

Its a new development, no-one has died and photo's 'threads' , are still available at the postimage AtomicZomie.com source.

I'm going to take a "chill-pill" and not let it spoil my day.
Regards,
Dan.
Sorry Dan, I just couldn't resist...:D

Not a problem Ed' :)
I'm not at all grumpy about it.
I am just surprised that the new is worse than the old in this one regard, when it is such a common-sense way to present the data.
It just means that thread comprehension and following a favourite and long/busy post means a lot of scrolling or paging till fixed permanently.
I have my "Chill-Pill's" at the ready though.....Just In Case. :D

...finding it hard to believe no one here likes to click on the date stamp of a thread and immediately get to the latest post.....quite baffling
Hi Frank,
Good stuff. It wasn't doing anything for me earlier. How odd. :D
Today it does. That's great.
